Mission Statement:
Our mission is to promote a future of alternative energy and sustainable transportation projects at UC Riverside, contribute to Southern California’s growing technology ecosystem, and raise community awareness of the power of solar energy. In addition, we strive to create a learning community around UC Riverside that has a focus on environmentally responsible solutions to real problems.

The Competition:
The Formula Sun Grand Prix is a track event that is held on a road style closed course. The goal is to complete as many laps as possible using only energy gained from the sun. It is a qualifier for the biennial American Solar Challenge which is a cross-country endurance race.
