What is IEEE?

IEEE stands for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. We're a group dedicated to professionalism, connections, and our projects, which you can view under the projects tab. Read below to learn more about how you can get involved!

How to Join IEEE?

There are two types of memberships: National Member and Student Branch Member. To be an IEEE National Member, please visit the IEEE National Member's website. To become a Student Branch Member, simply put your e-mail in our mailing list. If you want to be an active member, simply show up in meetings, events, or join any projects you are interested in. The more meetings, events, and projects you participate in, the more involved you are! See our Calendar for upcoming events. If you have any suggestions, please email ieeeucr@gmail.com.

Our Mission

Our mission as the local chapter is to provide engineers with technical, social, and professional development in the engineering field. We aim to be the leading engineering organization on campus, providing more opportunities for student improvement outside the classroom. We are committed in providing engineers with career enhancement, engineering social events, and growth in their respective professions.

If you want to learn more about what's new in IEEE, meet other engineers, or just find a place to hangout, come to the Solarium (Winston Chung Hall, Rm. 221). It's open 24/7 with card access. Apply for card access by visiting the BCOE Systems Website, or by the link to the left under "Room Access".
